Anything you can make in advance is a bonus, so poaching & chilling salmon so it can be flaked into a cold rice salad with golden raisins and toasted pine nuts is an automatic win. Sautéed pork strips, scallions and ginger make a perfect Thai-style fried rice; a friend taught me this recipe years ago and it’s the only fried rice recipe I’ve used since. More from the show.
