Mad Hungry MY Way: Sue Orr’s MH Faves

Published by

I get tons of feedback on here and on facebook about people making the Mad Hungry recipes or their riffs on them; so on Mondays we’d like to start posting Mad Hungry MY Way Mondays, a part of the mad hungry blog where we show YOUR Mad Hungry Meals. Send your Mad Hungry My Way pics, riffs and stories to madhungrylsq@gmail.com & we’ll post!

“I took a picture of the pork chops with apples and onions.  We had the pasta with cabbage and bacon…BIG HIT. It was last night’s dinner and we had enough left over for another meal….and everyone had seconds! The oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are now my daughter’s favorites, and the only way I can get oatmeal into my son !

Thanks for making my dinners much more memorable and creative.  I also love the tips that Lucinda gives….so practical.  I saved the leftover cheese and breadcrumbs from the baked chicken recipe all on my own (the cheese is expensive!)  and then I read the blog and saw someone else saved it and put it in the freezer….just like I did!  Thanks so much! Sue”

I came upon your blog from the article by ftelciiy cloake, and also, i just happened to be watching this nigel slater episode where he went to ask this scottish man (who’s a champion porridge maker) on the best way to make porridge. It’s really interesting and fun to hear about people who are so enthusiastic about a simple comfort food, and I jsut though I’d leave a note saying hi and thanks for shedding light on the humble porridge!
