My mate, jimmy D, of “the alistairs“—-saved me from a torturous late Sunday afternoon and evening of American football (sorry fans) but as the only chick amongst 4 guys, it’s one of the few things I really can’t handle for too long. Meanwhile, their dinner just rocked so hard!

This fish pie looks like a big mash-up but the mussels, and cod are simmered separately–the infused liquor used for a cream sauce, smoked salmon added and the whole thing topped with mashed potatoes. With a pile of peas alongside to snuggle into the mashers for each bite and a requisite (according to Jimmy) pool of ketchup to dip into, well Bob’s your uncle and fanny’s your aunt!–even fish doubters amongst you’d have liked it.
