To make sure I can pack pressed sandwiches full of things like grilled vegetables and prosciutto, I hollow out the bread to make extra room. Then, a creamy tomato-buttermilk soup can be made in advance and stored in a thermos—that way you don’t even have to worry about taking a bowl with you. And that no-bake dessert I mentioned? Peanut butter rice krispies cookies take just minutes to prepare and are one of my faves. More from the show.
