Recipes From Today’s Show: Traditional Israeli Family Cooking

Published by

TODAY on MHTV: I love learning new recipes and family traditions that center around food; today I have my friend Tal and her mom, who is from Israel, over to show me how to make a few Middle Eastern dishes. Hummus, is a simple chickpea dip blended with sesame paste, lemon juice and garlic—I like to serve it alongside falafel, a recipe that’s an easy and delicious vegetarian dish. The chickpeas are formed into patties, fried and stuffed into a pita with all the fixings, including tahini sauce. Tal’s mom shows me how to make her personal recipe for a simple Israeli salad—cucumbers, mint, and parsley are drizzled with lemon juice and olive oil. More from the show.

I agree with Cara, I don’t see the correct recipes for this week on Mad Hungry.
    I love the show.

I missed the reason for the baking soda and where was it used? Only when do you want to hear something the phone or doorbell rigns! Thanks.
