Cooking Class 2012

Friday nights charity cooking class was really fun and I think our two students, Christy and Kevin, truly learned something to use in their everyday life. First, we made choux puffs aka profiteroles, which Kevin (who doesn’t cook) mastered. These can go either sweet or savory and can be filled with anything. We went with ice cream and hot fudge sauce. An all-purpose salad dressing made in a jar. And this paella which is great for entertaining and looks so much fancier to make then it really is. It is really satisfying to get that trifecta: charity, good people and righteous learning. Oh yeah–it didn’t hurt that Calder helped me too which made the evening so much sweeter.
