Cachaca is a Brazilian rum-like liquor made from sugarcane and can be found in most liquor stores.
- 6 limes, ends trimmed, cut lengthwise into 8 wedges, then crosswise into 1/2-inch pieces
- 3/4 cup simple syrup
- 2 cups cachaca, chilled
- 5 cups ice
- 1 cup cold water
- Place limes and simple syrup in a large pitcher and muddle until limes begin to break down. Add cachaca, ice, and cold water to pitcher. Stir well and serve.
