Recipes from Today’s Show: Date Night Dinner
TODAY on MHTV: Recently I overheard CQ and his friend Milot debating what to do about dinner with their dates for the night; and when they said take-out I had to step in. I’m showing them a really easy, guy-friendly menu that the ladies will love too. A simple grilled strip steak topped with a garlic-parsley compound butter doesn’t take long to cook and makes a big impression. On the side, rosemary roasted potatoes and grilled wedges of salad with a Caesar dressing tie it all together. And, for dessert, homemade hot fudge sauce poured over vanilla ice cream is a guaranteed winner. More from the show.

Loved the show! The boys were great guests. Never heard of grilled lettuce. Can’t wait to try it!!!
…uh… love the Italian Family stuff, and that you have Family guests on the show…but YOU DO realize that 60% of your viewing audience IS GAY! Could we please get over the “straighter than thou” heterosexual overplay? Gays have Families too…immediste and extended. Thanks.
Lonnie-
Where do you get your stats that 60% of Lucinda’s audience is gay? Just wondering.
I’m hooked Lucinda.. You are both a natural cook and a natural teacher. The tone of the show is refreshingly “here and now.” Thanks for the economy of motion while you inspire us with food that is healthy, beautiful and “easy” to cook. Your show is becoming part of the day I really anticipate with pleasure!
I love your show, thanks for the recipes
Loved your show making steaks with boys. I’ll definitely be making all you had on the show.
Such keepers, the food and. . .the two boys!!
Love the show Lucinda! I am a vegetarian/vegan. I pick up some great tips from your show and also turn some of your meat recipes into veggie or vegan meals with the help of faux meat.
Thanks.
Lucinda and the mad team! You are becoming my new “go to ” source….i just discovered we get video clips for what we may have missed. brilliant.. I predict a HUGE following. Don’t stop!
Thanks to everyone who has taken time to write with appreciation for Mad Hungry. It really inspires me to know what everyone is thinking. We just keep trying new things with our guests; young and old, male and female, beginners and experts, straight and gay!–and we’ll just keep evolving with your support.
Best, LSQ
Grilled salad, will have to try this. Really enjoy the show with Calder and his friend.
Love, love, love your show! I have always enjoyed cooking and so, of course like to watch shows about cooking. Just found your show and really like when you have your kids on to help. I have a 13 year old son and now I just have to drag him into the kitchen and show him some basic skills! Keep it up, your style is refreshing.
My kids and I love your show. We just finished watching this episode. I wish I had a gas stove, but I don’t 🙁 Can I buy a grill pan like the one used to cook the steaks and use it on my electric burner stove? If not, maybe you could mention the best alternative in a future show.
Loved the show, especially amused with the playful conversation between Caulder/friend with Lucinda. Let’s see more!
I loved when the annoying red headed “friend” was on and she was such a jerk. She kept putting her two sense in, interrupting Lucinda and just wouldn’t shut up! Don’t do anymore shows with her. She seems like she needs her own show and instead scene stealing yours. I wanted to slap her.
Do more with your family. Try to be more upbeat though. America is sad with everything going on. The war, economy, unemployment, relationships, work, etc etc. I’d rather watch hoarders if you don’t put a bigger smile on your face, laugh a little more, joke with your guest hosts and make cooking fun. I was recording Martha Stewart on my DVR and just watches the Lorax edition and it seems that Martha has fallen to her old bitchy ways. I don’t want to watch her snap at little kids. If we can’t be happy in this life and what’s lefts of it, then what’s the point?
Negativity breeds negativity. Positivity breeds happy, fun and positive people. It causes laughter and it’s contagious. Laughter heals people’s hearts.
So before you think that your mint julips are the answer, look at your red headed guest host and find someone better. Get Rhea Perlman to host with you or Mario Lopez. Step it up a notch. With all my heart. God bless you and your show.
I love Lucindas show but got in a bad mood just reading Madonna’s suggestions.
Lucinda…don’t do anything she says…please 🙂
ha! love you.
