Recipes from Today’s Show: Nostalgic Summer Menu

Published by

TODAY on MHTV: Summer always makes me think of my trips to Massachusetts to see my mom and all the great meals we shared during those visits. Today, I’m reminiscing and making my version of New England clam chowder. It’s a little lighter than the traditional soup but still rich in flavor; I mix the clam broth with half and half before adding herbs, veggies, and bacon. Then, I’m making the perfect dessert for summer: peach shortcakes with vanilla ice cream. More from the show.

    Dear LSQ,
Just had to write you to say thank you for your show. I discovered Mad Hungry in March, just after having my second daughter. I have been watching every day since. You made me realize that, for my girls, this is the start of their memories of my cooking. I want them to be inspired and to spend lots of time with me in the kitchen. You are part of that with your great recipes that I have added to my trusty recipe binder.
Congratulations on a great season. Thank you for inspiring me to be a great cook for my family.
