I’m really sad that there hasn’t been any Mad Hungry news. We all want new episodes to be made. Is there anything more we can do to make it happen? I have written the Hallmark Channel, but their response is very vague. Please share good news soon.

Love the Indian recipes. Please tell us you’re going to begin filming new episodes. I’ve seen these repeats so many times.

Peggy/Jeff, all of our comments seem to fall on “deaf ears”. There’s been the same comment from the MH crew since January. Remember “Getting The Boot in 2012”. That’s when Lucinda’s brothers were worried that MH was cancelled. Well, it’s June and it’s a shame that the Hallmark Channel has sought of put a gag order on them. Either MH is going to make new episodes (and we’re all tired of hearing “we don’t know when”) or they’re not. How much support (and there is plenty) can all of us give, before we just don’t care anymore ???

I made the garbonzo beans this evening and they turned out delicious! I didn’t miss the meat at all. I did have to make a small change. I found that I had no ground cinnemon so I threw in a small cinnemon stick broken in two. Also since the dish was for only two people, I only used 2 cans of beans and reduced the spices accordingly. Also, I diced up two plum tomatoes and added along with the bean liquid and simmered all for 10 minutes. I served it with cottage cheese as I had no yogurt or cucumbers. Next time I think I will make Basamati rice with onion, butter and frozen peas as my side.
