MAD Hungry Field Trip

We’ve got a BIG surprise…
MAD Hungry is hitting the road and off to visit Mr. Contratti’s 4th grade class in Garden City, NY! After receiving a letter from Mr. Contratti himself, we learned that he and his class love to watch the show, so much so in fact, that they invited us to their classroom to interview Calder and I.
Not only does the show keep them mad hungry (the MH cheesy popcorn recipe is their favorite!) but they also use it as an educational tool for subjects like math—1/4 cup of this mixed with a 1/2 cup of that—you get the idea. It’s great to teach kids how to cook and how to use their book smarts in the kitchen at the same time.
So Mr. Contratti, get ready because we’re coming!

VERY FUN!!!!!!!!!!! It has to be an extra bonus for you all involved with the production to see your efforts utilized in such a creative way! Hooray!

Yes, this is really what its all about for me–teaching people how to be inspired to cook. And, 4th graders? Well, Calder and I both had a cute attack when we read their letter. I’ll keep you posted on our visit! We are devising a special recipe just for them. And, as for what I’ll be reading them??? Well–there is so much to choose from. THanks for saying hi.
