TODAY on MHTV: You don’t need every type of pan under the sun to make great food, but you do need a couple basics. My friend Erika is here and I’m showing her how to make the most of her kitchen pans. A braising pan, or deep skillet, is great for something like chicken cacciatore while a non-stick pan is my go-to for any kind of fish; today I’m using it for pan-seared red snapper. And, of course, my favorite: cast-iron. I’m using it to make a one-pan pork chop meal that’s super easy and delicious. More from the show.
