Recipes from Today’s Show: Sunday Cook

Published by

TODAY on MHTV: Sundays are the day where I can do a bit of relaxing — no soccer practice, no rushing to work or school — so I like to do some more leisurely cooking. Today my friend Gloria joins me in the kitchen to make some of our favorite Sunday recipes. My creamy spinach lasagna gets the 3 cheese treatment with mozzarella, Pecorino Romano and Parmesan and Glo shares her escarole and white bean soup. To finish the meal, strawberries with sweetened Sambuca cream.

Get the recipes from this episode:

Gloria’s Escarole and White Bean Soup

Lucinda’s Spinach Lasagna

Strawberries and Sambuca Cream

Watch ”Mad Hungry with Lucinda Scala Quinn” Mondays through Fridays at 12 p.m. ET/11 a.m. CT on Hallmark Channel.

I used to be able to see the list of all current and past shows and also search on your web page. As well as watch some clips if I missed the show or not clear on some techniques. It was so helpful that I shared with so many friends, specially whom is not so confident at cooking. They loved it too. What happen to that? I don’t do Facebook or Twitter. So where can I still access the list of shows and watch clips?

Enjoy your shows! I’m learning so much. What’s the dark chocolate looking coconut candy in the background. It’s vibrant trio of pink, green and yellow looks delicious?

PLEASE bring back the videos of your shows!! I love watching the video before making a recipe. You give out so many good tips during the show. Also, from the Nov. 3 show, the recipe for Sesame Chicken does not tell you when to put the marinade in the pan (to cook it). The video from the show would have helped. Wish you were still on two times a day; miss the re-runs.

What has happened to the video clips for each weekday show?

Made The Spinach Lasagna Today. Delicious! We liked It, Especially, My Son. I Also Drippled Melted Garlic Butter On It As It Cooled. The No Boil Noodles, Were Very Good. I Made Them Once Before, But Somethng Went Wrong, So I Never Used Them Again. Love This Cooking Show. Making The New York Cheese Cake This Week.

Made this tonight with my 4-year-old daughter (and the Sambucco dessert (with almond extract instead) and she had so much fun.

We watch your show together everyday and she gets so excited to help make whatever you showed us!

    Btw, both were delicious! 🙂

I love Lucinda and Mad Hungry! and the recipes are very, very good, approachable and smart. I like that they’re simple and not full of a bunch of processed stuff. I agree w/the other comments though, you’ve changed the format of the Mad Hungry site and it’s not nearly as easy to navigate as it used to be. I liked being able to look up past episode quickly to grab a recipe, now you have to go through every page and search for it that way. Unlike Lucinda and the program, this new format is neither smart, nor approachable. Sorry.

So glad I’m not the only one frustrated with the website changes. Really wish we still had the show archive and videos for each recipe. The archive was a quick and efficient way to find recipes from any particular episode. It has become incredibly tedious and time consuming to find recipes on the Mad Hungry site, having to click page by page through several months’ worth of shows to find what you’re looking for.

The videos were great because Lucinda shares a lot of tips on the show that are not included in the recipes. Not to mention how wonderful the videos were for so many of us who don’t get Hallmark.

LSQ, I love your show, you’re a role model to working moms everywhere, and meal planning is no longer something I look at as a chore. I have learned so much from your show and your recipes never disappoint my family. What’s even better is that my kids (9 and 5) are no longer picky eaters since Mad Hungry has been a part of our lives.

Please bring back the show/recipe archive and videos – I’m lost without them!

    Dear Lucinda,
We continue to express our concerns about the changes in the Mad Hungry web site. We have had absolutely no acknowledgement from the technical staff or from you about these concerns. It is very frustrating!

I cannot believe how long it has taken your group to resolve issues with obtaining previous recipes.
Why you took away the archive list before implementing another way to obtain it EASILY is so not a Martha Stewart Way of doing things. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?????

Please give me step by step instructions to obtain the archive list.

Please, please bring back the easy to look at videos.
