Super Bowl Food Controversy

RIBS VS WINGS

So, my husband RJQ, made a definitive decision: the Super Bowl menu hinges around his Crunchy Sesame Chicken Wings and my Carnita’s. To round everything off—I’ll make a #makeitepic dip — a new one, as yet undeveloped or untested, but sure to be something epic..

But, the best laid plans….

Our eldest son called to announce he’d be bringing friends and seven pounds of ribs and beef tips to our house for Super Bowl. His intention is to fire up our trusty Big Green Egg and let the bbq meat flow.

I thought this’d be cool with all, but it seems there might be a bit of a meaty turf war brewing over this.

Me? I’m Switzerland with my dip so no worries there. I’ll be keeping folks posted via my Facebook and Instagram, so check back there on game day for live updates.

You can keep people posted through Facebook and Instagram. You really have ignored the blog that made you who you are. And you’re trying to sell a new cookbook??

Giselle – I read both the blog and FB almost everyday. What’s the problem? I’ve already ordered and received the new cookbook purchased through Amazon but I’m hoping LSQ will put my city on her book tour itinery

The problem, Jane mcswain, is that updates are posted regularly on Facebook, twitter and Instagram, which not everyone is on. I agree with Giselle 100% and then some. Those of us who have followed the blog religiously since the beginning (many of whom are not on social media) feel ignored.

Thanks, Joni. I agree with you and Giselle 100 percent also. LSQ should be ashamed of herself, ignoring the people who made her.

I come on here and hope to hear something. Why are we being ignored??

If I was Artisan Books, I would be annoyed that potential book buyers are being ignored on this blog.

    Amen to that Bess.

I’m very sad that this blog has been ignored by LSQ.

Why is this blog ignored? How insulting to all of us.

  • Edna February 13, 2013 at 10:59 pm

There hasn’t been a post in 2 weeks??? What is going on?

I will not be buying the new cookbook. I know many of my friends feel totally mistreated and will no longer support someone who completely ignores the people who have shown such support. Why did we email and call the Hallmark Channel to save the show and now we are treated like crap. If LSQ is so busy, she should have someone help her with this blog.

I agree with Sue, what total nonsense, for those who have supported Lucinda all this time.

I have to now say that I am truly saddened how LSQ has treated her loyal bloggers. I will not buy the cookbook.

I can’t believe there is no response. It shows that this blog has not been looked at in over 2 weeks by LSQ or the MH Crew (whomever they are).

Maybe Lucinda is traveling?? But she should have someone in charge on here.

The last couple of recipes I wanted to make from the recipe index were no longer available – when I clicked on them I got “page has moved or no longer exists.” What the heck is going on? This blog used to be awesome and a great source of inspiration. Guess we’ve all been left behind. So much for showing our support for MH to Hallmark.

      JoAnn,

Which recipes are you looking for? There may be a problem with the links, which we can fix with MSLO’s web operations team.

      Best,
      The MH Team

You are so correct JoAnn. Total disrespect to all of us who made Lucinda who she is. All of us who contacted the Hallmark Channel to bring the show back, what a lack of respect. But she knows how to Instagram and do Facebook.

    Phyllis

  • Connie February 18, 2013 at 8:55 pm

Lucinda knows how to post on her Twitter account, but hasn’t changed anything on here. The company launching her book “Artisan” should be aware of this rudeness. Why would we buy a book? We wrote, emailed and called the Hallmark Channel to bring back that show and this is how we are treated. Contact Artisan Books everyone. Let them know how we feel.

    Hey Everyone,

Go back to the January 18, 2013 posting. Look how all of those questions/comments have never been answered. Outrageous. Does the woman have any common sense when it comes to be endearing to fans and a public that would (not now) buy her book.

  • Gerrill February 20, 2013 at 11:38 am

I see posts on Facebook. Hey, many of the folks who watch MH and use this blog don’t have Facebook. Can anyone on the MH crew understand that??

    Gerrill
