I love the wood utensil you often use for cooking/stirring. Where could I purchase one?

    Hi Lucinda;

My husband Joe and I always watch your show while having our coffee in the morning after the Martha Stewart Show. Now I go directly to MadHungry.com and want you to know how much we BOTH enjoy it.
WOW! you are our kind of cook! we love all the recpies and I print all of them out. Am making my favorites cook book to pass on to my kids.
I could buy your cookbook, but for now, we are on a fixed income so will print them out.
Thank you so much for your wonderful insight on good food, just like back in the day…what a pleasure, so we thank you so very much for your teaching me all over again, and I am now 75 and my husband is a WWII Bomber Pilot Vet. WE LOVE YOUR SHOW.
Keep up the good work and again, many times over,
    THANK YOU!
Our best to you and good luck for the future.
Your sons are very helpful and just love their input.
    Take care,
    Jean in Texas

Made the pancakes tonight for dinner exactly as given in the recipe and they turned out perfect. Hubs and I at the entire batch along with fried eggs. We almost licked the plates as well!!

    Hi Lucinda!

I love your show and the meal ideas are fabulous. I’m prepared to make the golden granola, except for the safflower oil. Kind of pricey since I don’t use it often.

Can it be substituted with another oil, like vegetable or canola oil?

Thanks a bunch for a wonderful show.

I loved watching you make the pancakes! I just introduced my little girl to pancakes. Though I have to add bananas to ours. http://squashblossombabies.wordpress.com/2011/01/11/banana-pancakes/

Just tried the granola and it is THE best– and I have used many recipes– including one from a friend of mine who has an upscale bistro in a large metropolitan area–. Now when I make a batch, I give some to good friends as a little BFF gift.

Love your recipes !!! What happened to the icon that allowed you to print ‘recipe only’? Don’t want all the ads and liked the larger print.

  • Elaine January 2, 2012 at 10:12 am

I see all repeats listed through February on the Hallmark Channel website.
    What gives???

    Elaine

  • Ruth January 2, 2012 at 10:16 am

    Lucinda,

Yesterdays blog looked promising, but I see nothing but repeats on the horizon.
Can the show be less cryptic with its loyal viewers? Are you making new episodes? Is that such a difficult question for the show to answer?
Being on twice a day, it just shows the same episode that’s been on so many times already.

It is BEYOND DISGUSTING that Ms. Quinn cooks with nail polish on. Not only is the thought of the polish flaking off into the food nauseating, but it’s REVOLTING to think that it’s impossible to see any potential dirt under her fingernails. REALLY REVOLTING.

  • Jeff January 2, 2012 at 12:26 pm

Lucinda is a beautiful host. If you watch all female cooks, you will see many have nail polish on. I guess Allie you must use the cheap kind that chips off. What a ridiculous viewer comment. Get a Life!!!!

But seriously, I’m glad Mad Hungry will be on more, but I don’t want it to be repeats.I’ve seen them all. I truly hope any “further announcements” won’t be about buying “Mad Hungry” products. Just give us the show.

    Jeff

  • Rita January 2, 2012 at 12:56 pm

    Mad Hungry,

Have to agree with others. I don’t want to hear about more products to buy. Is the show making new episodes or not? Going back to an hour a day with repeats will not have me tuning in.

This is a perfect example on what people are saying. Look at all the praise that was received a year ago and how it all turned around a year later to all negative. So sad how you have to post old comments from a year ago to show what people “use” to think. Whom ever is in charge of Mad Hungry, should never be allowed to be in charge of any other program in the future. If I was Ms. Quinn, I would be outraged and disgusted how her once highly praised show is now being slammed by once loyal viewers. Lucinda should move to another network.

  • amy January 4, 2012 at 11:16 am

It was announced that Mad Hungry has been cancelled.
Lucinda, take Mad Hungry somewhere else.

    Amy

I can not believe the comment from Allie about the fingernail polish. Are you personally eating her food?? If you are that phobic about that, you must not eat out very often.

Hi lucinda, I very much enjoyed your show. I have learned so much by watching you go step by step. instructing your public on the the basic,s of culinary arts. Can you please do more shows on simply down to earth recipes like — rolls, meats, and basic sauce,s that,s what appeals to me. I love the fact that you do every thing from scratch that,s wonderful!!!!! Kelli

  • Dot Sanchez July 25, 2012 at 12:24 pm

I have been wondering what color your nail polish is ever since I began watching your show. It looks beautiful and makes you look so cool, like I know you are. I especially love the shows you share with your son Calder. You can really see how much he loves you and has caught the “fever” of your love for cooking. My husband and I watch your show every day and love the visit. I hope your show NEVER gets cancelled because it is such a delight! Keep on wearing the polish and stay as hip as you are….

I’m a writer from Karby, Germany just sent this onto a colleague who was running some sort of research on this. And she in fact bought me lunch just because I discovered it for her… lol. So allow me to reword this…. Thanks for the meal… But yeah, thanx for investing all that time to discuss this matter here on your web site.

Pruning should be done the opposite direction when mowing
has been done before. Just make sure to compare two or more
lawn mowing companies and see which one can give you good services at a reasonable price.
A few years ago I had a lawn that I couldn’t keep healthy throughout the summer.
