Mad Hungry MY Way: Thanksgiving Turkey

Published by

I get tons of feedback on here and on facebook about people making the Mad Hungry recipes or their riffs on them; so on Mondays we’d like to start posting Mad Hungry MY Way Mondays, a part of the mad hungry blog where we show YOUR Mad Hungry Meals. Send your Mad Hungry My Way pics, riffs and stories to madhungrylsq@gmail.com & we’ll post!

This week’s Mad Hungry My way comes from Craig Popelars and his wife, Tanya’s Thanksgiving Turkey. My  wonderful Artisan Books editor, Ann, who Craig is a colleague of at Algonquin Books, was kind enough to forward it on to us. If you don’t know Algonquin, they are a great publishing house known for their attention-worthy fiction and non-fiction titles (Water for Elephants, anyone?) that should be checked out! :

“Holy sh@t! Tanya made the best damn turkey ever on Thanksgiving following Lucinda’s recipe from Mad Hungry. We’ve never brined a turkey before, and I’m telling you it made all the difference. It was more beautiful than unicorn tears!”

Got Riffs on your Mad Hungry recipes? Send them our way at madhungrylsq@gmail.com with a picture and description of your eats.

I was one of the lucky ones to get to devour daughter Tanya’s Mad Hungry turkey on Thanksgiving.
    It was indeed scrumptuous, Tee-turkey-terrific.
If it was “mad” at me, I surely wasn’t “mad’ at it!

Hey doting dad—that was my dad. He wrote the first Amazon review for my very first book in and every opportunity hence. I miss him like crazy. Best, LSQ
