Mary Weiss: Hot “Crab” Dip

This recipe makes a very popular hot dip that is made affordable with the use of imitation crab meat.  This is a huge hit at parties, and the recipe can easily be doubled for larger crowds.  All the ingredients can be easily adjusted to taste.

1 (8 ounce) package of cream cheese, room temperature
1 cup mayonnaise
½ cup milk
1 (8 ounce) package imitation crabmeat, flaked
1 green onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon paprika
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Directions: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a medium bowl, stir together all the ingredients. Transfer to an oven safe serving dish, or nice pie plate. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until the edges are boiling and cheese has melted. Serve with a thinly sliced, toasted baguette, some French bread, crackers or tortilla chips. *For added spice, add one or two diced jalapeños.

Linda Bolz: BLT Dip

The go to dip I use every holiday, game day etc.  is my BLT dip:

1 small carton of sour cream
1 small carton of mayonnaise (I use the same carton the sour cream comes in)
1 lb bacon fried crisp and crumbled
2 lbs roma tomatos seeded and chopped
1 bunch of green onions chopped

Mix all ingredients together and season with seasoned salt, pepper and cajun seasoning to taste.  Let set for twenty four hours.  Serve with veggies and crackers.  YUMMY!

Judy Cuoto: Bacon and Honey Chicken Wings

Chicken wings
Honey
Bacon

Cut the bacon in half. Cut the wing  into 2 portions…discard the tips or use them for later stock. Wrap each portion with the bacon. Lay the wings on a large cookie sheet side by side. Pour the honey over the wings generously. Bake at 350 until the wings are cooked and the bacon  is crispy like…Serve in a chafing dish or warmer.
