Recipes from Today’s Show: Calder’s Birthday

Published by

TODAY on MHTV: It’s CQ’s birthday! We’re not having a big party but we are celebrating, so I’m turning to my pantry to help me prepare for this impromptu shindig. Clusters of tagliatelle noodles are nestled into cooked Arborio rice and buttery sautéed mushrooms for a side dish that works well with my orange caramelized pork roast. We like to call it “crack pork”—‘nuf said. And, it wouldn’t be a birthday party without a cake so I’m making CQ’s favorite: chocolate cake with whipped cream and berries. More from the show.

Just wanted to let you know that this episode inspired my dinner last night. I had just cleaned out a cabinet and found a bag of arborio (never thought to just make it as rice, not risotto), a half full box of anci di pepe, and a carton of beef stock. In the fridge there was a basket of mushrooms, double thick pork chops, and the honey mustard we always have in the house, from Oscar’s Smoke House in Warrensburg, NY – it is the best! The pilaf was prepped like yours and was delicious. The chops went on the grill with a glaze of honey mustard mixed with strawberry jam (my brother-in-law makes big batches every year and this is how we use up what’s left before the strawberries come in). Roasted beets rounded out the menu. Love your show and the recipes. Thanks.

The pork recipe is WONDERFUL!!! We had it tonight with egg noodles. For those that do not like spicy, you definitely need to cut back on the chili sauce. We loved it as is. I’ve made the cake before, single without the whipped cream and strawberries. It, too, is VERY good and easy to make. Keep up the great work!!!!

I made the nesting noodle pilaf the other night with regular rice (could not find Arborio). It was good, but next time I will know to cut the recipe in half. Loved the cremini mushrooms, I never bought that kind before. They had a rich, buttery flavor. One tip, if you are going to make this, make sure you have a very big pan! Your show is the best and we never miss it. Would love to have you back on Mondays and for a full hour all week long.

The sources are powerful. The superior of student/athlete is 2nd to no other year as the 12-1 file would point out. There will be many coaches waiting in line for this career this time about..

Howdy this is kinda of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with
HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise so I
wanted to get advice from someone with experience.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Take a look at my webpage Google
