Recipes from Today’s Show: Chicken Fricassee

Published by

TODAY on MHTV I’m taking the classic cream-based Chicken Fricassee and giving it some Jamaican flavor with scotch bonnet peppers, onions and tomatoes.  I like to serve it over rice to soak up the extra juice and with a side of healthy sautéed greens, like spinach and cabbage.

I love the show and it’s format. Do not change it. Lucinda cooking with Calder and all others is why I watch. Sure the atmosphere/procedure can be a little different, but continue having Lucinda cook with everyone. It’s like visiting your next door neighbor or family.

How about starting off the show with Lucinda and whomever she is cooking with, sitting at a table with a cup of coffee or in that couch area? Have them chat a minute or two and then the next scene goes into them cooking. Just a suggestion.

I like Ethel’s idea, to get to know the guest briefly. Can you please bring back teacher John Contratti? I’m a theatre major who loves to cook. His blog is great, especially this week related to Broadway’s Tony Awards. With Ethel’s suggestion, I would like to learn more about him, hear what has happened since LSQ and him last cooked and of course what they will cook this time. I love Mad Hungry the way it is, please don’t change it.

Sallie hit the nail on the head. We are all thinking the same thing. Leave the show alone. STOP “planning and looking to make changes”. Get back and make more new episodes. MH, does Hallmark see your blog??????? It’s perfectly clear what the viewers want. LSQ cooking with family and friends. Enough of the “planning stages’. If and when Hallmark ever gives a “green light”, get back and do the show viewers have stuck by, especially these past 6 months of repeats.
