Recipe’s From Today’s Show: Easy Exotic Entertaining

Published by

Today on MHTV: Exotic doesn’t have to mean scary; this bold and brightly-flavored Asian-inspired menu is all about making exotic easy.  Seared sirloin sits on a bed of scallions and arugula with my Thai Beef salad while my Clams with Lemongrass and Chilies make a great, quick app. For a balance of hot and sweet, my Chicken and Coconut soup is super refreshing and takes minutes to make.

    Mad Hungry,

Big fan of the show. I was wondering why many of our comments go unanswered. Hallmark has the best cooking show and cook (Lucinda) and they have shown not much respect for the show. Where are the videos? How come only half an hour? How come the show gets preempted for a cartoon? Does Hallmark realize what a talent they have with Lucinda and how it is the most relatable cooking show on the air. Real everyday people watch the Hallmark Channel.
Also, I’ve seen for months now that many people, including myself, were quite impressed with teacher cook John Contratti. I have read dozens and dozens of wonderful comments from viewers requesting that this guest come back on and share more of his recipes. He has a terrific website and has garned quite a bit of attention since he did Mad Hungry. So why haven’t we seen him?
Also, most recently, we heard Lucinda broke her ankle. True? False? I’ve seen well wishes, but no comment if it’s true or not.
We also ask if more episodes of Mad Hungry are being made? We were always kept updated? This season is quite different. I hope someone will take the time to address everything viewers are asking.
Mad Hungry is a great program. Is there a reason to be turning viewers off like this? We do see someone by the name of “Lo” who responds once in awhile. Maybe she can help viewers.

    Hi Lucinda,

Love the Thai beef salad. Making it tonight. It’s something different.
I am in agreement with the previous commenter, Everything seems different this season with Mad Hungry. The enthusiasm of viewers has decreased because we just can’t seem to get any answers.
We ask about the videos and nothing has been said. People have requested that teacher guy for the longest time and never a mention of him. We have difficulty retrieving recipes sometimes, which by now, shouldn’t be.
Are the comments even read? On December 12, a Jane M. said that you broke your ankle. People ask if it’s true and send well wishes. But on December 13 you make a comment about tomato paste. Unless comments have got past you, but someone on your staff had to see it. I just hope that it’s not true, and if it is, you’re almost healed.
Hope Mad Hungry starts 2012 off the way it use to be and that your loyal supporters will get some answers.

    Elaine.

This time of year people are busy, so I’m sure the great Lucinda will answer viewers. I understand the frustrations though. Loved yesterdays recipes.

Kids and hubby asleep, so I get to catch up with your blog. Recipes are always great. From what I see, I hope you are alright. A bunch of my girlfriends (all teachers) turned me on to your teacher friend’s website. Great stuff on it.
What do you do for the holidays?

    Lo,

Full agreement with bloggers, it is so different this season. Not to sound repetitive, I would like all of the above questions answered that Wayne, Elaine and Pam have asked. Thanks and happy holidays to you too.
