Recipes From Today’s Show: Edible Gift Ideas
TODAY on MHTV: Try making some of your gifts this year–Jennifer Aaronson is here to help me show you some fab gift ideas–everyone will appreciate the personal touch and be equally psyched that they’ll get something delish to eat. Papaya chutney packed in Mason jars looks beautiful and you can spread it on just about anything. Or, if you know someone who likes flavored spirits try a no-cook gift of vodka infused with Meyer lemons. More from the show.

Dear Lucinda,
Thank you for making your recipes so easy to follow. You are a joy to watch, and I love it when you cook with your sons – I have two that are 24 and soon-to-be 28 (out on their own). I have my own custom framing business and art gallery so I’m not off too often, so it’s a treat to have a day off to catch one or if I’m lucky, two of your shows. The casual way you cook is greatly appreciated.
And mainly, I have commented to say how much I also appreciate when you do have a guest on (like the gingerbread lady) that you don’t interrupt, and seem excited to learn from others. It’s very refreshing. I love a certain famous entertaining TV baker and chef who I am sure you are very close to, but the constant guest interuptions make me feel so tense and uncomfortable that sometimes I can’t watch. You are very refreshing.
My husband is in Florida taking care of his Mother who had a major stroke last Friday. She lives with us, but went for a small vacation at her youngest daughter’s house. It turned out to be the vacation from hell for her, poor thing. Now it’s just a matter of hours or days. But anyway, when my husband does come home, he asked for a home-cooked meal, and I have printed off your steak, meringue, endive salad, and chocolate pots de creme recipes to make for him, since it is so close to Valentine’s Day.
Thanks again, Shelby
Dear Lucinda–I love your programs and your recipes. I had a smile when you made “Jambot”. My grandmother,
born in Pagani, Province of Salerno. She made Jambota-maybe Giambota. The history was that it was what you could do with what was left in the frig. We all loved it–she knew how to make food taste good.
Why I’m writing: I can’t seem to access your 11:30 recipes. Is there a method? Help!
PS I’m so glad you’re staying on air!
Good day! I simply wish to give a huge thumbs up for the great information you could have here on this post. I will probably be coming again to your weblog for more soon.
It is magnificent how you managed to fully reveal the subject which you have picked out for this particular blog entry. BTW did you use some similar blog posts as a source of knowledge to fulfill the entire situation which you have revealed in your blog post?
Lucenda, many moons ago you had on your TV program a spicy nut recipe, cooked on top of the stove in a sauce pan. We all loved it and now can not find the recipe. I hope you can recall and email it to me. Many thanks and a big HUG M
