Recipes from Today’s Show: Fondue Night
TODAY on MHTV: Make entertaining easy with a fondue spread that can be mostly made ahead so that party time can be spent with your guests. Miles is here to help me make my lighter version of fondue bourguignonne (pan-seared beef) that’s paired with no-cook dipping sauces. To get in some veg, try simple and hearty roasted veggies with cheese fondue — I add Riesling wine and Kirsch for an extra boost of flavor. More from the show.

I love your show, I would like to know where to get your tomato sauce…
I was watching you and Calder make the giant potato
pancake. I have made this dish many time because my
brother loved it so much. Try using raw potatoes
shredded and leave the juice in them when cooking. Try
this and let me know how you like it.
Thanks,
Patricia Coleman
Lucinda,
Happy New Year to you and your family. Today’s recipes are a godsend for my New Year’s Eve Party. Also, I love your guest John Contratti’s website. I tried two different appetizers a caponata and a beer bread in advanced and they are outrageous. Between the two of you, I am set for a great New Year’s Eve. (and some wine too)

I would love guest John Contratti’s beer bread recipe. Does anyone have the website?
Thanks. Happy Holidays.

Thanks Ruth, I appreciate it. I’m hoping Mad Hungry has him back on to make some of the many great recipes that are on his site. I really liked him. I see that when you scroll down and click on :older posts” it keeps taking you back to all previous recipes. Once again, thanks, and happy healthy new year to you Ruth.

Lucinda,
I’m so glad you did a show with fondue. My family always did fondue. Maybe it can come back in style. Speaking about John Contratti. I check into his website all the time. His cheese and pepperoni beer bread is so great that I make it and then use it for my fondue. I’m going to make another loaf for New Year’s Eve and make your fondues. Thanks so much.
Richard K.
