    The recipe for rice doesnt mention pistachios or any spices mentioned on the show…can you give the real recipe? It sounded really good!

    Ever since you made the radicchio , endive and chick pea dish with John Contratti, I have been a fan of chick peas. I make that dish twice a month as a side. Please bring him back to share more recipes. Have you checked out his Oscar themed week on his site? http://www.cookingwithmrc.tumblr.com

    You are so correct Dee, about John Contratti. I’ve downloaded every recipe this week for my Oscar Night party with my family. I know Mad Hungry hasn’t made any new episodes recently (hopefully soon), but this guy should be invited back as soon as they resume. His recent popularity will have his admirers following him to the show.

    Yes, would love to have other ingrediants as well used in the rice recipe. Do remember whole cloves, whole star anise? and pistachios –

    i had the greatest evening on a Live Oscar Blog chatting with John Contratti. As he has a wonderful blog, this past week was “Outstanding”. His Oscar week theme, showed what a creative talented man he is. I remember his appearance on Mad Hungry and I am wondering and I’m a little perplexed, why this man has not been back cooking with the wonderful Lucinda?

    Being an Indian Vegetarian, I can tell you that there are lots of simple Recipes to use in everyday cooking.

    Cucumber Yogurt Salad is one of the most authentic Indian dished. Many people do not know the true art of mustering up this salad but if done correctly, it is treat to eat. Your recipe is perfect. Of course the seasoning and the garnish can make all the difference but in most cases the middle ground is fine. Thanks for sharing the recipe. I will try some other thing tonight and tempt my family.
