Recipes from Today’s Show: Indoor BBQ

Published by

TODAY on MHTV:Summer may be over, but that doesn’t mean you have to say goodbye to BBQ. My pulled pork starts with a rub of brown sugar, cumin, and paprika. Then I braise it in Guinness beer until it’s so tender it pulls apart at the slightest touch. I serve it with my tangy and smooth North Carolina BBQ saucecoleslawgrilled peaches, and a pitcher of citrus black teaMore from the show.

when your son cooks with you, he shouldn’t eat or drink. he drank out of the bottle of beer then poured some into the pork.

Sorry to hear the show has been cancelled. I had a feeling since there have been so many repeats. I wish you great success.

Love this show. The host makes everything look easy to make. I have tried many recipes and they are delicious and never fail. Get over the germ thing! Have you ever eaten in any restaurant. Guess what?

I love this show. I have downloaded a lot of the recipes..I hope she gets a new web site soon.

If you read Lucinda’s blog, you will see that the show is not cancelled.

My family LOVED the pulled pork. I made it for dinner without the buns. It was the best we have ever had. The sauce recipe may have some mistakes though. After seeing the show and reading the only comment about the sauce, I decided to put in half the butter and add more tomato paste as one person suggested. It turned out thicker and more like a barbecue sauce. I ended up mixing it (on my plate) with some frozen leftover barbecue sauce I made a couple of years ago (recipe was from Martha’s website). THAT sauce was GREAT.

Absolutely LOVE the show and get so many recipes from it for my family. We don’t do Italian (pasta) YUCK, so please, more non-pasta meals please.

I’m so glad to know that Lucinda Quinn is not cancelled. I watch her everyday and try most of her recipe’s and they are absolutley deleicous. don’t lose a winner.

Lucinda’s recipes are good, however, it would be really nice to see her compliment someone once in awhile, especially Calder. He even hugged her at the end of the show and she displayed no warmth —not even a hug back. She just looked into the camera.

In regard to Helen’s comment. Where does Lucinda say Mad Hungry is not cancelled??? So many have asked her if she is making new shows and we are never answered. If the show isn’t cancelled, why the repeats and why can’t they just say we are making new episodes. They’ve turned the show into a joke. Just trying to keep the “Mad Hungry” name out there without producing new shows.

  • Trish February 26, 2012 at 2:34 pm

From what I heard the repeats were because Lucinda broke her foot and had been in cast for the past season. I don’t think the show has been cancelled – she just couldn’t tape new shows until she could walk. Just my 2 cents worth. I sure hope it isn’t cancelled.

I love the show! It is frustrating, however, to go on line and try to find any particular recipe, especially if you don’t know exactly what the specific name of it is…. Sometimes, just have to give up!

  • The heart of your writing whilst appearing reasonable originally, did not really sit properly with me personally after some time. Somewhere within the paragraphs you managed to make me a believer unfortunately only for a while. I still have got a problem with your leaps in logic and one might do nicely to fill in those gaps. In the event that you actually can accomplish that, I would surely end up being amazed.
