Recipes from Today’s Show: LSQ’s Favorites

Published by

TODAY on MHTV: Even though I love to cook for others, every once in a while I want to make something that’s just for me. When I was a kid my mom used to prepare stracciatella soup for me and it’s still one of my favorite comfort foods. Eggs and Parmesan cheese are whisked into hot broth for a creamy, healthy meal—I like to add spinach to mine to add a little green. Then a simple spaghetti dish infused with garlic in three different ways, and for dessert, luscious dark chocolate pudding cakes are just heavenly. More from the show.

I continue to love you and your show. So very happy to know what rag soup is!When I was a little girl, my cousins’ other grandmother would invite them over for rag soup. I was so jealous and curious and now at age 58 I finally know…thankyou.
Also last fall I was able to go to Isreal and fell in love with falafel and the tiny little salads. I am going to make that for my mother’s day. And the pasta dish from todays show for the grandkids. You have such makeable recipes for me.

I am happy to say that I have cleaned up an area of Mad Hungry recipe printouts and replaced it with the cookbook!!!!! I love it. There is so much information in there. I even seasoned my cast iron skillets the right way today lol Thank you from the house of happy Mad Hungry fans.

On a sour note: I want my hour of LSQ!!! I watched the episodes over and over and even watched them again on the net. I turn the tv off or change the station when I find out that Mad Hungry isn’t coming on again.

I agree with Kathy. I NEED an hour of Lucinda’s cooking! I watched a couple episodes and bought her book immediately. The recipes are fantastic and she is an awesome teacher and oh so entertaining, as well. When she brings her family into the picture with her, you know this is real cooking from a person who has lived it. Pleeeease bring Lucinda back for the full hour so I won’t be upset with HALLMARK CHANNEL and have to go watch THE VIEW or something when she should be on. WE LOVE YOU LUCINDA!

I just wrote to Hallmark. I hope you don’t mind LSQ. Here it is:

I turned on Hallmark when Mad Hungry came on, and I kept it on during Little House on the Prairie, which I don’t like but watched anyway. My schedule of tv watching has now changed because of you, and I am not happy about it at all! I WANT MY HOUR OF MAD HUNGRY!!!!! You can show all the chefs in LSQs time slot all you want, but I will never watch them!!!! Take off one of the Little House on the Prairies and put them on that, but give me back my Mad Hungry. (I could keep going on and on, but I hope you get how upset I am by now)

Lucinda I love your show very much and I new about you from ‘Everyday Food’ episodes shown on PBS. Make it easy on the website to get to the recipes list and upcoming shows list. I miss the list that showed archived episodes and search for a recipe that I had seen on the show. Please bring it back.
I don’t like facebook for many reasons and I don’t want to go there to find about receipes. Many of those people on facebook should spend time with their family instead and etc. like cooking together…

You have reawakened my interest in cooking. I’d much rather eat home cooked meals than any restaurant food.

I have just found your show and love it. I am alergic to eggs though and on your July 31st. show
you gave a family favorite quick recipe without eggs in it. It had Milk- dark chocolate-Espresso Powder-2 envelpes of clear geletin in it. I was so thrilled about the recipe that I went on line to print it out and it wasn’t there, another recipe was their instead. Will you please e-mail me this recipe. Thank you so much. I also have noticed that the recipes are on line for your first show but not the second show. Thank you so much
