I, too, watched your show for the first time and love how easy you introduce cooking fun and unique dishes. The “Men Like Pie” episode was fabulous. I want to see it again!!! Can’t wait to get your book.

Lucinda is great. She is now one of my favorite TV Chefs. Her recipes are wonderful. I just love watching her style of presenting them. It is so nice to hear her talk about her experiences in Italy and other places. Gina

I really love your show! I have tried many of your recipes and have been extremely pleased with the outcomes. Another viewer mentioned (your)book… it will be one I’ll definitely look for as a Christmas gift to myself :-). Hooray to Martha Stewart and Hallmark for introducing you to me. Continued success!

I have watched cooking shows for a long time and even watched Martha when she did television specials for KMart. I think you add class to the roster of cooking shows. I too appreciate the easy and direct way you present your recipes. And because I have tried some recipes and become a fan of your show I am purchasing both of your cookbooks. Much success to you!

I made the empanadas for my sister and I to much on while finishing Christmas. The flavor is amazing, but I found the dough a little difficult to work with and this is probably because I need a little extra coaching :)! If I wanted to add a little dipping sauce, is Salsa the way to go? Also, I hope that you have a chicken empanada recipe as well; I will search for it. Love your show!! It’s a complete guide to hearty foods and your cooking tips are the best – Go Lucinda!!!!!!

Lucinda I love your show & watch it every day. Your cookbook is on my wish list this Christmas as well – fingers crossed!

I usually make the Pate Brise crust but have a difficult time rolling it out. Today I’m going to give this crust a try.

Thank you for all the inspiration. Keep up the good work 🙂

The fact that you use items already in the pantry will make going to my favorite 1963 recipe book so often.

  • Janice Benfield January 14, 2011 at 1:14 pm

Lucinda, I have watched alot of cooking shows, but yours is my all time favorite. You cook the type foods that I like. Today, I am going out to try and find a fondue pot. Miles is so much fun to watch too and so glad he and your other family members like to help you out. My oldest son, that lives in Prague loves to cook too. I have turned him on to your website. He comes up with some fantastic recipes from over there too that you would love. I am a chemo patient for the last 8 years and try to eat stuff natural and good for me and my family. As soon as I have the money, I want to get your cookbooks, but right now, i like to come to your website and get the recipes. I hope you always have this show, you are wonderful.

Where does Lucinda get her cute tunic tops that
she wears? Are they available online.

    Love you show. Pat

I have just watched you for the second time, first was after Thanksgiving on Martha’s show but you just make things so simple & easy to follow. I have had a recipe for cream puffs from a friend but I just could not understand the instructions so I have not made them. Watching you made her recipe easy to understand & it was almost the same as yours except for the freezingahead……….LOVED THAT!! Do your cookbooks cover the freezing method?? I will go shopping for your cookbooks. Thank You!!

  • Al January 19, 2011 at 5:28 pm

I love your show. It’s nice to view a cooking show that deals with cooking and not silly host doing silly competitions. This is what a cooking show should be like….take note food network!

  • Vicki Foster January 26, 2011 at 7:35 pm

Mad Hungry is my favorite cooking show I enjoy all of the tips & everything is something that anyone at home can make.

  • Vicki Foster January 26, 2011 at 7:37 pm

I made the Chicken pocket pies my husband loved them & they were so easy & quick & good as leftovers.

  • Beth February 11, 2011 at 4:56 pm

I would also like to know where she gets her tops, they are so cute and comfortable looking.

  • Karen February 12, 2011 at 6:33 pm

Love Lucinda!!!! She is so down to earth. Have tried several of her recipies. They are all simple, yet very delicious! Love when her sons cook with her (wish I could get my daughters to do that – maybe when they are older). Please keep giving us good recipies! Thank you Lucinda!!!

  • Terri February 13, 2011 at 2:53 pm

I agree with the others, Mad Hungry is the BEST cooking show on tv. And I’ve been watching cooking shows since the first one. Lucinda is so real and the food cooks up so good. She is also entertaining, it’s like being in the kitchen with your best friend and loving it! Please keep the great recipes coming and continued success on the show. Can’t wait to get ALL your cookbooks.

  • Marilyn Allgire May 3, 2011 at 12:47 pm

Why remove ‘Mad Hungry’ ? from the schedule @ 11:30 And why start her program and then @ 11:40 go to another cooking program. Mad Hungry is finally a program that is relevant to my lifestyle – I will not be watching the show @ 11:30!

  • Janet Newton May 4, 2011 at 5:04 pm

I thoroughly love your show. I just bought one of your books. You are so down to earth, yet I have the feeling you can be as formal as Martha! Keep up the good work & thanks!

  • M.K. Byrnes May 9, 2011 at 1:59 pm

I made Cuban Style pork roast from the program…IT WAS INEDIBLE!!! I had to throw out 6 lbs. of roast pork! All we could taste was BITTER LIME from the rub, could not even identify that we were eating pork! I can’t believe that anyone would eat this, and I made it exactly as the recipe, cooked low and slow for 7+ hours, but using the whole lime was a huge mistake…so I wasted that roast and 7 hours cooking time and the time to make the rub and to let the roast marinate over-nite!!! UGH! You need someone to vet these recipes before you put them on tv.!!!!!

  • marianne king June 29, 2011 at 2:58 pm

I adore your show, and am so impressed with your expertise with food preparation. I also had three sons (all grown now), but it was always a challenge to “fill them up”! One of my “Quick and Easy” chicken recipes has followed grandsons to college, and become everyone’s favorite.

  • Mary Jane Fitzpatrick July 8, 2011 at 5:04 pm

Your style is so relaxed…no fuss no muss… from the great teaching tips and easy delivery of directions to the great layered tops you wear. Of all the television chef’s, you are by far, the most real.

  • Charles Dzarnowski July 15, 2011 at 1:37 pm

Watching you cooking with your adorable sons and their friends just adds to the deliteful atmosphere of your show!! I have used SEVERAL of your recipes and I’m never disappointed!
I LOVE how you dress. Your style is so appealing to me! I would love to know where to find similar clothes to the ones you wear!
Thanks for being such an inspiration!

Please don’t change your computer message. I can’t program my TV and when I miss a day, I am miserable. YOu have helped me get through the week as to what to cook. I am 75, raised 3 boys and now I still cook a big meal and we eat it till it is all gone. I have enjoyed you take on some of my everyday mundane recipes. Please keep up the good work. I own every book you have writtern so far. Am looking forward to the next one.
