Recipes From Today’s Show: Romantic Dinner

Published by

TODAY on MHTV: Sometimes, staying in is so much more intimate and romantic than a night out on the town.  When the kids are out, I love enjoying a night with Mr. Quinn and making a beautiful dinner for just the two of us.  Serving up a juicy, seared black peppercorn steak, endive wedges with blue cheese, and sinfully good chocolate pots de crème for dessert makes for a perfect night in.  More from the show.

I am dying to try this for Valentines day. My concern is deglazing my cast iron skillet. Will I need to re-season my skillet after I’ve made this?

@francine – deglazing hasn’t seemed to hurt my very well used and beloved cast iron skillet. I clean it with the LSQ method and it pops right back. Just use a little oil with kosher salt to scrub it nice and clean (wiping with a paper towel) I use only paper towel to get the salt and oil out of it and it is nice and glistening with no water applied at all.
