Recipes from Today’s Show: The Perfect Chicken Dinner
TODAY on MHTV: One of the more important kitchen skills you can have is knowing how to properly roast a chicken. I’m showing CQ how to whip this up along with a side of vege-bread salad. More from the show.

Can you ask Calder not to stick his finger into something and taste it, often by sucking on his finger, and then stick that same finger back into the food and taste it again. This is certainly something to teach a young cook. Today, he did it with the salad dressing. Really awful!
I agree with Suzanne. Also, while you emphasize washing your hands after handling meat… I think it is more important to wash your hands after handling raw chicken or eggs and to clean the cutting board after using it to prepare chicken dishes. It isn’t necessary to show the handwashing.
Come on ladies, give the guy a break! It’s a cooking show, not health class. There is no doubt that this show tries to be responsible in all they do and say-everyone makes a mistake now and then.
Nothing wrong with Calder feeling comfortable cooking in the kitchen with his mom. My sons taste when I am cooking. Calder is a very smart handsome young man. Love Lucinda and her family..
I WORK DURING THE DAY AND DVR HER SHOW EVERY SINGLE DAY I LOVE THE SHOW AND HER FAMILY.
IT’S THE BEST COOKING SHOW ON TV… PLEASE STOP LOOKING FOR THINGS TO COMPLAINT ABOUT AND ENJOY THE SHOW… PLEASE LIVE AND LET LIVE…
I love this show, but the webpage for it is way too hard to navigate. It’s a big ordeal finding the recipes. I strongly suggest you simplify this page-I am there to find the recipes, not read all the stories-simplify-all my friends have said the same thing about this site.
I agree with Laura and the others who like Calder.
I LOVE this show and agree that its the best cooking show ever. I especially love the boys and how they are all so NORMAL.Lucinda does a great job and who cares if Calder dips his fingers in the food, that’s nothing compared to what happens in my house!
This is one of the best cooking programs on TV. For the people complaining about fingers in food, and washing hands; If you actually PAY ATTENTION often times on cooking programs, the hand washing has already been done. If they spent every second filming and us having to view how many times they actually washed their hands, these programs would be one hour in length, not 30 mins. Additionally, if your not eating the food just prepared on the program, why do you care about her son putting his fingers in his mom’s food. I do it all the time w/my own food and my mom’s. It taste’s good that way! Seriously, people need to lighten up. Love Mad Hungry!
Great show. Leave her son alone. Unless you are actually there eating the food they are cooking, they can do what they want. They are the ones eating the food, not you.
