Food Revolution Day

Published by

I was really happy to learn that Jamie Oliver was appearing at the today show the same day I was.  Jamie is a force of nature–truly committed to the good work of food as well as just plain good food. What he is here talking about is the work he does to change the way our kids/families eat. The question many ask is–what is a British chef coming here to tell us how to eat? Well I don’t care who does it but the healthy feeding of our kids is major..At the root of many health and wellness issues across socio-economic lines too. Jamie is the real deal; kind, passionate, fun and making a difference. Be the revolution too. To check out more info on Food Revolution Day, click here

    Hi Lucinda!
I too love Jamie Oliver, too. My Grandma & Mom taught me fresh was best. We bought very little food at the grocery store.
I truly enjoy your show & DVR takes them all in for me. I have had great success with your recipes.
    Thanks!

Jamie is all you say he is Lucinda. I just wish when he is filming his show in the UK, he would make an effort to have clean hands. He is working outside pulling and picking fresh veg and then we see him sticking his fingers in the food dirty nails and all. It’s been grossin’ me out for a long time.

All in good, but let’s talk about “Mad Hungry”. New episodes going to be made or not?? The carrot has been dangling in viewers faces since January with the “Mad Hungry is Alive and Well” speech. Is it really when it’s only repeats. Hallmark Channel has to know their is a big following and we want more.

100 % in agreement with Terri. Lucinda had to speak up when her brothers contacted her back in January when people were saying “Mad Hungry” was no more. Well it’s almost June, 6 months later, and we’re saturated with repeat after repeat. Nothing is new. Please, cut us loose, if there are no more new episodes that are going to be made. I think everyone should just call up the Hallmark Channel personally and just find out for themselves. That’s what I’m doing tomorrow.

It would be great if they say that more will be made. But the way this has all be handled, I don’t think so.

MH has said repeatedly they hope to have the new show ready in the fall. I suspect that the new show will be somewhat of a big departure from the current format and there is a lot of tedious IT work involved in reprogramming a show not to mention developing new recipes…If you don’t work in the TV show development business you probably have no concept of the amount of time and work it takes to revamp a program. Naturally the format of the show must be kept pretty hush-hush for fear of copy-cat imitations and stealing ideas from such a successful show as MH. So P.L.E.A.S.E. fans, try to be patient and believe in LSQ and Hallmark CHannel. 🙂

Great picture of you and Jamie. I’ve always liked him so much…..

I too am waiting for the new shows. A little disappointed to hear the format is changing though. Well I’ll hang in there for you Lucinda because you are one of my favorites 🙂

Changing the format? We want the show we love. And by the way Jane M., Hallmark Channel has said NOTHING. If the show was coming back with new epsiodes, then LSQ would have said it. All networks have confirmed their Fall schedules, so why not an announcement that Mad Hungry will be back with all new epsiodes in September like all other shows do. A mystery, keeping secrets, hardly anyone knows the network exists. And for some ridiculous notion, Mad Hungry is changing it’s format then apparently they don’t listen to their viewers.

What is Jane M. smoking? I follow this blog, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Not one mention of a new format. “Hush Hush About It???” There’s nothing to report. Talk about killing off a great program. I’m sure it has nothing to do with the MH crew. It just baffles me that Hallmark doesn’t know what a gem of show they had.

    Paul

P.S. And if there was a new format, it’s not why we came to love Mad Hungry in the first place.

Lenore, I have heard nothing about a new format of the show. Everyone at MH would be crazy to change the format of a show we all enjoy. Jane M. has no idea how TV works. It is very obvious, this show is not coming back. We all said CANCELLED last January, the writing was on the wall back then. But it is a shame though.
