Mad Hungry MY Way: Banana Bread

Published by

We get tons of feedback on here and on facebook about people making the Mad Hungry recipes or their riffs on them; so on Mondays we’d like to start posting Mad Hungry MY Way Mondays, a part of the mad hungry blog where we show YOUR Mad Hungry Meals. Send your Mad Hungry My Way pics, riffs and stories to madhungrylsq@gmail.com & we’ll post!

This Week’s Mad Hungry MY Way comes from J.B. Bulharowski:

“Scrambling around the internet, I came across a courteous blogger who posted a recipe from your book – banana bread using one (1) banana! Just what I was searching for. My solitary banana was just what I wanted to use, not dispose of….It tastes as great as it looks!”

The Mad Hungry Banana Bread recipe is my go to weekend recipe. I just made a triple batch yesterday! It is easy and turns out beautifully – that topping, mmmm! I am not a fan of banana bread (I make it for my husband and kids), but I find myself stealing bites as I walk through the kitchen….

if you’re going to talk about how yummy this recipe is, you could at least include a link. I’ve looked every where and can’t find it. The recipes on the website didn’t have any ‘special’ topping. Can you tell me where I can find the recipe?

Lois Waldron, I was also looking for the 1 banana banana bread recipe. In my recipe bar I typed in “One banana banana bread recipe Lucinda Scala Quinn” The first post to come up was through a link called Shutterbean and it is called Tessy’s Banana bread. It states it is from Lucinda Scala Quinn’s blog and is from her show called Feeding men and boys. It has 1 banana and a topping. Hope this helps. If not let me know and I will type it out and send it to you. Thanks, Ramona.

Lois, Ramona found the recipe I used via the same online site, Feeding Men and Boys, I didn’t want to steal anyone’s thunder so I didn’t mention the site. Also, the recipe is LSQ’s cookbook which I do not own. I made the bread w/o the “topping” which is rather sugary. I usually cut down on the sugar in most recipes, just out of caution.

What about new episodes of Mad Hungry? I don’t see anything on the site or on the Net.

Also…seems that this site is displaying oddly. Using Window 7 and IE…maybe someone needs to look it over?

    Thanks.
