Pasta

Published by

I’m home from the book tour and already it feels like I never left. Swinging right back into home and work life–cooking is the thing I love in both places.

Last night, we made some Pork Chops and Grits from some ingredients I bought in Virginia. Tonight I’m cooking a gift given to me on the road.

In San Mateo, California–Anthony attended my class and handed me this box of homemade pasta–basil, tarragon fettuccine. He said it is the most celebrated dish in his family.

His suggestion for sauce is:
melted butter, a dash if lemon juice and grated Parmesan Cheese. This is my kind of recipe. If you’re in San Mateo, check out his business, Mangia Kai Pasta.

Once again, thanks to everyone who took their precious time to come and see me on the road. Now, I’m going to do my best to blog every day!!!

Best,
LSQ

PS I will also try and figure out how to deal with my pictures, which is what always prevents me from posting!

    MH,

Please let us know if there will be new video or television content filmed. I don’t want to miss it. Love the old stuff, but need the new.

Just wanted to say I love the new book and miss seeing you on television. I like the idea of brand new videos on here, where we can see new content. Haven’t seen Calder cook with you in a such long time. I’ve been following everything your previous guest John Contratti has been sharing on his blog, Lots of good recipes. Would love to see the two of you cook again. Love your mom’s photo that you posted recently.

    Hi MH:

Have to say, I went on former guests John Contratti’s website.

    http://www.cookingwithmrc.wordpress.com

I made a simple dish with snap peas, carrots, sesame sticks, etc. It was one of the best and quickest vegetable dishes I ever made. He has the best recipes. I knew that when he cooked with Lucinda once before. If MH is ever going to return in any format, I hope he can cook again with LSQ . He has so many recipes that I would like to see prepared. I miss all the people of MH. Hallmark Channel has no clue what a terrific show it is,

    Hi Lucinda,

Hope all is good with your family. I know you were on “Monday’s With Marlo”. How about “Mad Hungry Mondays”??? On line videos with recipes that get us through the week??? Just a suggestion. Also, if you are filming new recipes, I, like so many others, would like to see John Contratti cooking some of the many terrific recipes from his blog. There’s so much great new material from him. Finally, will you be doing any other signing dates or is it complete? Happy Memorial Weekend.

    Hi Lucinda,

I miss your Mad Hungry TV show. Will you be returning to
TV soon, I hope, as do many others.

  • Danielle May 31, 2013 at 11:47 pm

We haven’t heard anything in weeks. Doesn’t anyone from the MH Team check in every day to see that people are asking questions and commenting??

  • Marilyn June 1, 2013 at 9:20 am

Very disappointed to see so many weeks going buy and none of our questions are answered, commented on, etc. We were told the tour is over and there would be more responses on this blog.

    Marilyn

P.S. There still seems to be a very strong interest in the show. Which is a “good” thing.
