Date with hubby at fav steak restaurant in the neighb: Porterhouse at the Time Warner center. Started with the most perfect martini’s. I had Lamb chops, he had Rib-eye but the thing that always slays me (besides the martini) is the onions rings: buttermilk, fried–THE best in NYC. And, the creamed spinach is essence of. The chef Michael Lomonaco, formerly of the Windows on The World at the former World Trade center, heartbrakingly remembered this week by a new ship built from the steel of the World Trade center which cruised up the Hudson river in front of our building Monday morning flanked by all the police, fire and water escorts available. Bless them all………………………….
Heading out again tomorrow to Dayton and Cinncinato, Ohio. Next week Philly, WV, D.C. etc.
