Recipes From Today’s Show: American Classics

TODAY on MHTV: One of the perks of my job is that I’m able to travel and taste the dank local specialties. But nothing beats a good old-fashioned road trip  — or road food–with my family. Today, Calder, Luca, and I are re-creating some of our faves: crispy onion rings, chocolate malts, and warm, melty French dip sandwiches (which hail from L.A., not France).

AWESOME Onion Ring receipe!! I have been an avid cook for 30 yrs. was a registered nurse for 20 and became disabled, but the good Lord allowed me to continue with my other passion,COOKING!! This is the best receipe I have ever tried and used!! I will pass it on. While on a recent visit with my granddaughter and daughter-in-law (my son in Aphganistan on his 2nd tour in 3 yrs) I began watching the hallmark channel. I can’t get enought of Lucinda Scala Quinn. She is so family oriented and down to earth. I have tried several of her receipes and have put my spin on some. Am a HUGE fan now!!!!
