Recipes from Today’s Show: Asian-Inspired Dishes

Published by

TODAY on MHTV: My family loves Asian food, so I try to keep a couple of dishes in our dinner rotation. With a few pantry staples, Asian-inspired meals are easy. Broiled salmon teriyaki is made with a simple mix of soy sauce and honey- if you’re not sure on what kind of salmon to buy, I like Wild Alaskan; it’s a little more money but well-worth it for the flavor. On the side: ginger garlic green beans (a recipe from one of the Quinn boys) while white rice gets a flavor boost with fresh herbs and toasted sesame seeds. More from the show.

Love your show, Lucinda. I’m just beginning to experiment with Asian cooking and would love to try the chicken & peanuts recipe you made on today’s show; however, I’m unable to find it on your website. Could you please post it, so I and others can enjoy making it. Thanks so much!

I LOVE your show. I made the flat roast chicken. My family, including my picky teenage daughter, LOVED it. I can’t find the recipe on your blog. Can you email it to me?

I watched a rerun today of the Asian salmon with garlic ginger green beans and white rice with toasted sesame seeds, scallion, and cilantro. I can’t remember how to toast the sesame seeds and cannot find it on here to do it right. thank you.

Lucinda, I made the entire meal as you did, the teriyaki salmon, the rice with sesame seeds and cilantro et al, and the green beans. EVERYTHING was delicious! Even though I let the green beans saute a bit longer than I should have, I had great reviews. My husband said we should have this more often and this is a man who was raised in South and not very adventerous with food. You have won me over with your easy recipes that combine wonderful ingredients that keep food from being boring. Thank you and keep the recipes coming!
