Recipes from Today’s Show: Easy Chicken Menu

Published by

TODAY on MHTV: My son Calder is joining me in the kitchen on this show and I’ve got some news for you: we’re making his recipes. An easy baked chicken with a honey-whole grain mustard glaze is flavorful and moist. Make sure you save the “lemony, chickeny juices” that collect at the bottom of the pan; you’ll need them to drizzle over the crispy, pan-seared hash browns we’re making for a side dish. And, since we’ve already got mustard out for the chicken, we’ll be making a salad with three-mustard-vinaigrette. More from the show.

    BB, Kimmy and Leslie,

Thank-you for the support! It makes me so happy that you are inspired to get into the kitchen, eat something you didn’t used to like and think about the ones you love to cook with too.
    Best,

My husband, son and i made this together after watching your show. It was easy and yummy. The hub says, put it in the rotation! (Your sons are adorable, love it when they come on the show to eat or help!) Kudos all around.

My two oldest sons and i made this meal together. We even shopped together, and It was a lot of fun. I have never attempted to make a recipe seen on t.v., but you make it seem approachable. I have three boys and a hungry husband who works really hard, and it made me feel good when he came in the door and said he could smell my meal cooking as soon as he got out of his work van. I am not a great cook but i really felt like a chef when this meal hit the table.

On several occasions, Lucinda has expressed surprise that her club soda bottle has not “exploded”. This will not occur if the bottle has been refrigerated before use.

I made your son’s hash browns with steak and veggies for lunch today and it was fantastic! I had some hash browns leftover and decided to add it to eggs (into a torte) for my three year old son. After his first bite, my son looked closely at the plate and said, “mmmmm!”. My son is already in the kitchen cooking with me and watching your show is so encouraging. I absolutely love it!

I love your show. Made this recipe a few weeks ago – YUM!! One question – I love the wooden utensil you use – what is it and where can I get it?
Again – love your recipes and show.

I am seventy five years old and my legs limit the time I can spend cooking. I have always been a cook from “scratch” cook and your recipes are great without so many complications. I love your show and try not to miss one. I made the crown roast of baby lamb for a small cocktail party over Christmas and it was such a big hit! A real keeper. Many asked how I did it and it is great for a party. Thanks
