Recipes from Today’s Show: Easy Exotic Entertaining
TODAY on MHTV: A few of my friends are coming over, so I’m making a couple quick Asian-inspired dishes that pair well with one of my favorite wines: Rose. I’ve got a wine bar set up so everyone can just help themselves while you get started on a fast app of clams with lemongrass and chiles. Try the brightly flavored chicken and coconut milk soup—the soothing coconut milk balances out the spice from the hot chiles that infuse the broth. Last but not least, seared strips of sirloin on a bed of scallions and arugula make simple but delicious Thai beef salad. More from the show.

I just love this recipe!
I’m going out of town this weekend, and making this in advance for my husband to throw together for a quick, delicious meal.
Thanks for the great ideas!
I had a question about a comment that Ms. Scala made regarding freezing lemongrass. I often hear this tip to freeze leftover vegetables and herbs. I sometimes read/hear that these things should be blanched before being frozen, is this true in all cases or can one simply toss the vegetables in to use later?
Also, I loved the idea for the salad, however, I usually like my beef medium-well. Can someone advice me how much more I can cook this meat to achieve a product that is closer to medium-well but without losing the original intent of the recipe.
This is the second time I have searched for a recipe, found it and I get the wrong recipe(it goes to Martha Stewart and I can’t go back to Mad Hungry). I was looking for the stuffed shells with prosciutto, got the one with spinach and can’t figure out how to get the one I want. Needless to say I am not the best with the computer. If it would just stay on Mad Hungry and not go to Martha Stewart, it would help.
I love the show and have enjoyed many recipes. I have the cookbook but some of recipes aren’t in the cookbook.
