Recipes from Today’s Show: Easy Indian

Published by

TODAY on MHTV: I came up with this menu after riffing on some delicious food Luca and I had at an Indian restaurant in the city. To make it easy on myself at home, I decided to braise chicken thighs in a rich tomato sauce and serve it with a side of vegetable biryani; similar to rice pilaf and sweetened with coconut milk. A simple, no-cook dessert of orange slices soaked in orange blossom water is paired with a platter of dates and pistachios. More from the show.

Why has your show been cut back so severely? My husband and I like it very much 5 days a week for one whole hour OF YOU each of those days.

we make almost all of your meals/recipes. we are retired and both cook, but have learned oodles of good tips for making our meals more flavorful. This is after feeding our 2 sons and 2 daughters into healthy adulthood. thanks for what you do, Lucinda. You are the best!

    Lucinda,
You have the best cooking show on the air. You are so real. Today’s recipes were great. I’m not a big cooker of Indian food, but do like eating it. I’m a huge fan of cooking with eggplant and asparagus. Any ideas? Keep up the great work!

You and the show are great. Your guests are everyday people. That’s why Mad Hungry is so special.

So disappoimted that your time slot has been
reduced on the Hallmark Channel. Enjoy your one
hour cooking program so much. You are talking to
us while you cook and share your cooking skills
as well as tidbits about your family like a good friend would. Most listeners are mothers who
cook for their families and extended families. In
some cases they are working mothers who need a
cooking buddy that identifies with their lifestyle and chats and cooks with them giving many good and
quick recipes. You provide that to your listeners
and we thank you. Keep up the good work..you’r the
    best!

    Hi Lucinda,
Love the show. You’re like a great next door neighbor. Keep the recipes coming.
    Sincerely,
    Pat
