TODAY on MHTV: Nothing beats cozying up to bowl of warm soup during the cold, winter months…except, maybe, a bowl of warm soup that is super easy to prepare and today we’re making 3 of my favorites. After receiving some heirloom beans from a friend, I developed this Cannellini bean soup recipe to showcase the beans’ flavor. Jamaican pumpkin soup is full good nutrients and tasty dumplings called “spinners” and a tomato soup that is not only easy, it’s healthy too. I like to top it with a crouton melted with mozzarella and basil—it’s like eating a pizza without all the grease. More from the show.

    Your recipes often have “course salt,” do you just use “Kosher Salt” or how do I find this at my grocery store?

    Oh my gosh! The Cannellini Bean Soup is delicious. I had everything in the kitchen and was able to make this last night. The house smelled fabulous.

    Made the bean soup today. We like a lot of flavor in our house, so I used chicken stock instead of water. The vegetables absorbed the flavor of the stock. Sooooooooo delicious.

    The cannellini bean soup was really good. I followed everything to the t, except, I didn’t have dried beans so used my can cannellini beans. Done quicker and still awesome.
