Recipes from Today’s Show: Light and Easy
TODAY on MHTV: Your family will never guess they’re eating light with this flavorful lemon-thyme chicken paillard dish that’s ready in minutes. I usually pair it with a crisp arugula and radicchio salad. For dessert, I’m serving Italian ices topped with a zingy raspberry sauce. More from the show.

I can’t wait to try this meal!! I recently found out I need to lose 53 points of cholesterol and need more of these low fat recipes. Are you planning on writing or do you have a cook book which has mainly low fat recipes? Thanks so much for your show and back to 1 hour! yay
I watch this program every morn, and coming here to this site, to post, can’t find a spot to make general comments, so saying my thoughts here. WHY DO YOU KEEP HAVING YOUR BOYS on the SHOW??.. Are they chef’s or something??? And their names you repeat OVER AND OVER when they’re standing right next to you, like you want to make sure everyone “gets what they are” Plus your boys talk with their mouths full, today’s show with “CALDER” (yes I “got” what his name is” )talking with a bunch of dressing in and on his mouth. how disgusting…………If these boys are “professional Cooks/Chefs” Then ok but just to have your kids on a show to either get paid, or maybe to feed is ridiculous …And I don’t watch to see “their friends feed their faces”, either So I guess I won’t be watching this show any longer. Not till it’s a show about “Lucinda’s cooking” and untill the ‘guests” learn some manners.
PS: I forgot to add above, that the son’s tend to overtalk you on “your” show, plus seem to be know-it-alls about recipes.. this Calder ( yes I got his name) overtalked you several times that I saw. Show isn’t about “him” it’s about Lucinda’s cooking.
Hi Lucinda,
Love the show today. I love when you cook with guests and your sons. Keep up the great work.
Erin
I like when you cook with guys and your sons on your show. You give the viewers what they want and that’s why you are so relatable. Thanks for the great recipes.
Sincerely,
Paul
The show is about family meals. I am a mother of 4 sons now grown and married and 3 of the 4 were always in the kitchen with me,learning how to cook and having a good time making fun of Mom. That is what boys do. They are now very good husbands and dads.
What I love about Mad Hungry is its family and friends coziness. Cooking with family members and friends is what it is all about. Keep cooking with your wonderful boys and special guests Lucinda. That is the reason why I tune in.
Dillon
All commenters:
Mad Hungry is about bringing back the family meal…whatever your family may look like…whoever you may be nourishing, and gathering with. I am pleased that so many folks appreciate that idea.
Patty: fortunately–if this program is not for you than you can turn the channel. Meanwhile, I welcome any constructive criticism of me or my recipes but please refrain from discussing my family in this venue…especially my children.
Thank-you, LSQ
I apologize Lucinda, and like I said I watch your show every morning. Just this show seemed to be over the top a bit, and struck a nerve. I watch the show to watch you make your delicious recipes, and to listen to your instructions. Part of which I think , I missed in this segment. I am a mom of 8 ( all adults now) and sure wish they had these easy recipes when I was raising mine : )
LSQ,
Thank you for this show (and blog) – it has become my go-to resource for dinner every night. I don’t have boys (just one girl on the way), but I always know that your recipes will be husband-friendly and something I can manage to make any night of the week… not to mention delicious.
I’ll be incorporating many of your recipes and ideas on my own blog. Thanks!
Oh, and Calder is great on the show – I love a mom and her son in the kitchen.
Sorry but I too agree with Patty about SO MUCH of your boys on the show
We all love our kids but the nepotism is a bit much so I guess the will get jobs
Out of this CU T E gig
y BoTheut bo AySorry but I too agree with Patt
Patty: Thanks for writing back after I posted. There are plenty of shows where I cook solo. Hope you tune in for those. Best, LSQ
MK:This is a family show so nepotism is a redundat term/suggestion here.
THere are no TV desires with any of my children–they just support me and like hanging out in the kitchen. As I suggest to Patty, tune out when it isn’t to your liking. Tune in when it is. There are so many choices on TV for cooking shows and many where you get the host all to yourself. My pleasure is cooking for my family and friends. That is all my show is about. Best, LSQ
lucinda, whether u r alone or with your sons or some other visitors, i love watching your show. i like yours the best out of all of the others. everything you make is so yummy looking, i am starving by the time the show is over. lol lol
