Recipes from Today’s Show: Packable Lunches

Published by

TODAY on MHTV: I’m making three hearty grain salads that are great for dinner and make refreshing and hearty lunch for the next day (the flavors get better as it sits overnight). Carrots and celery add crunch to my barley, mushroom, and dill salad; my farro, feta, and mint salad is packed with protein-rich chickpeas; and my super-simple brown rice and chicken salad gets a burst of flavor from sesame seeds on top.

So beginning October 1, Home and Family is on from 10:00-12:00, and Marie is on from 12:00-1:00pm. So what’s happening Mad Hungry? Fans who have stuck by the show for 2 years now deserve an explanation. Don’t we????

On July 27, a viewer asked a question about a type of pan. Great question, which some would like the answer to also. So what’s with the rudeness of not answering the woman’s question? Do you guys know how a blog works?

TJ – take your complaint to Hallmark. They control what is made public about their line-up. Her reruns are supposed to run through 2013. That is all they will say. I doubt that MH has the freedom to make any announcements.

  • Mary August 4, 2012 at 11:06 am

Jane M.- When I called Hallmark, they freely said that Emeril was not returning, they were a little more mysterious about MH. In the end the woman on the phone basically said there won’t be any new episodes made. As for Steph’s comment, I agree, all questions are never answered about recipes, products, etc. Hallmark isn’t smart enough to see Mad Hungry is the most popular of all the shows that Ms. Stewart produced. You think they would order more episodes.

Mary – I sort of suspect that MH is working on a deal with another channel (or maybe more than one) which would account for the secrecy from the team. Who knows? Since no one is saying definitely, I still have hope that we will see LSQ somewhere in 2013 or even beyond that. She is too good and too popular not to be able to sell her talents to another network…there are so many possiblilities.

    Hi folks:
Mad Hungry is alive and well. I am working on a new book which will be launched in Early 2013. THe original Mad Hungry cookbook is also launching in paperback this fall. THe paperback is is just a chance for anyone who wants to get a more afforddable version of the book. I admit I love my hardcover, splatters and all though.

As for TV. You are right–Hallmark is elusive in their plans. I have been told Mad Hungry will play through 2013 but here is the good news: we are at work for new shows for a different venue–no details yet to share.

WE are in development with a great line of products, starting with the famous spurtle. I’m most excited about the new knives which are just a three pack of the essential knives you need.

I’ve been working hard at the Martha Stewart Living magazine, producing my column every month along with lots of other new content.

As soon as I can relay any info about the new show I will. Please stay positive.
And, thanks to everyone who has enjoyed what we’ve done so far.

    BEst,
    Lucinda

Yes folks: all new material in the process of being produced: new book, products and a brand new TV presence too. Please be patient and I’ll keep you posted ASAP. Meanwhile Mad Hungry will be running on Hallmark through 2013 (or so they say).
    THanks and best
    Lucinda

    Hi Lucinda,

I can’t tell you how excited I was to see a message from you on here. I know you realize the passion of your MH fans. (And there are plenty of us.) I’m excited for new shows/venue etc. As long as you’re back cooking with your boys, family and friends, we will all be happy. Keep us posted.

    LSQ,

Yes, great to hear from you. Just want to see new shows with you. Please bring back John Contratti when you film new shows. I follow his blog each day and it’s great to see what he’s been doing. More Mad Hungry please.

    Sarah

Would love to see the show back in some form. The repeats are a bit much. I’m with Sarah, bring back Mr. Contratti. With all these repeats, his blog is filled with great recipes and is quite helpful.

“we are at work for new shows for a different venue–no details yet to share.”

See, oh yea of little faith. I’ve said this before, LSQ is not at liberty to share details about a new show but something is in the works…just need to find the right home for MH. It will happen!!

  • Petra August 6, 2012 at 8:55 am

It’s great news to hear. I hope John Contratti is already lined up to cook on an upcoming show. All of his recipes are loved by my family and friends. I hope Lucinda will cook with her boys too.

Most of the real online stores selling duplicate watches have the print of the original vigil along the fake so that the customers can check the minutiae themselves. While shopping for a fake vigil online, you must carefully look at its print. Make sure that the print is of serviceable peculiarity, and that it clearly shows all the optic characteristics of the original vigil. The statue should bestow a clear eye of the vigil sun-dial, hands, brackets, fire-brand logo, and thong. If the statue is unclear or if it is trying to withhold a certain material lineament of the vigil, you can end that the website is not real. Damper the notice given about the vigil. If you find that, any notice provided is inequitable, move to another website.
