Recipes From Today’s Show: Restaurant Food at Home

Published by

TODAY on MHTV: I’m creating a restaurant-worthy meal at home.  Herbed butter, spread on a cut baguette and popped in the oven is great on its own but also makes a great dipper for leftover sauce from my simple but delicious shrimp scampi. To add some green to the dinner table, I go for a favorite salad of my youngest, Luca; a one-bowl Caesar with huge homemade croutons and a dressing I mix right in the bowl with the romaine.

Skip the anchovies! They are not part of the original recipe for Caesar salad! There is an undetectable amount of fish sauce or anchovy in Worcester sauce which is in the original recipe. Anchovies, regardless of quality or how they are packaged taste like bottom of the sea toe jam, or elizabeth new jersey on a hot day, take your pick! yuck… just say no to rotting fish. Otherwise, LOVE YOUR SHOW! I hope this gets a giggle or two..

Dear Lucinda, I love your show and have learned so much from you. It drives me crazy when you keep talking about preparing food for families and guests dropping in. I have no family and rarely have guests! Yes, I should get a life, but it is what it is. Your family is admirable, but please have some consideration for those of us who live alone. Teach us with your wisdom how to enforce portion control and about freezing / packaging food that is best prepared in large quantities. Eager to see your ideas interesting meals for life in the solo lane.
    Starda
PS: The italian word for tomato ends with an O (as in pomo d’oro), not an A.

    LSQ,

Love your show. Please come back with new episodes. DON”T change the format. I like to see you cook with your boys and friends. That’s the reason i watch. Sorry to say it’s a bit boring when watching other cooking shows and it’s just one person “yammering on”.
