Recipes from Today’s Show: Rice Two Ways

Published by

TODAY on MHTV: Leftovers never go to waste in our home and today I’m showing Calder and Luca how to make the most of some leftover rice with a few fresh ingredients. Anything you can make in advance is a bonus, so poaching & chilling salmon so it can be flaked into a cold rice salad with golden raisins and toasted pine nuts is an automatic win. Sautéed pork strips, scallions and ginger make a perfect Thai-style fried rice; a friend taught me this recipe years ago and it’s the only fried rice recipe I’ve used since. More from the show.

    Dear Lucinda,

Just a note to say “Thank You” for all of your wonderful cooking recipes, tips and tricks. I love that you offer alternatives to the recipes as your cooking on your show. It is especially fun to watch you in the kitchen with your mother, Rosemary and your sons who seem to create some kind of little disaster. I too have 3 sons, all grown, one of which likes to cook, my youngest, Landon who will turn 29 this year, ugh! Keeps the show very realistic and reminds parents to involve their children. I have used so many of your recipes and am inspired by you every day. You’re right up their with the greatest of chefs. Thanks to Martha also for producing your show.

Love your show. I went right out and bought your book. Your recipes are so practical and recipes that any family would like. I am widowed now and live alone, but I have condensed then down to one person. Thank you..

Good morning, As I’m watching today, I continue to admire the cute shirts/tops you wear. Could you let us know where you get your wardrobe? Also, I love that wooden spatula you use, a resource for that would be great. I know, in your spare time, LOL!

    Thank you again,

    Carla

    Carla,
Did you get an answer as to where Lucinda got her cute shirts?
