Recipes From Today’s Show: Seafood Paella Dinner

Published by

TODAY on MHTV: One of the best things you can do if you’re having company is focus on one really awesome dish, and it’s even better if you can make it all in the same pan. Seafood paella is one of those dishes and in my version I use fresh clams, halibut and spicy Portuguese sausage called linguica. The meat and fish are tossed together with saffron-infused rice and the only other thing you’ll need is a light side salad; I like this crunchy fennel and orange one.

I watched the tv show today for the first time and found it enjoyable. What disturbed me was the awful food safety/handling habits my children and I saw. This included, but not limited to, lack of hand washing between raw fish and salad prep, wiping nose and then eating, and unsafe knife use. Is this a normal practice? I know the gentleman is new, but he should be corrected to show how safety is more important than how the food tastes.
