Recipes From Today’s Show: Steak and Potatoes Menu

Published by

TODAY on MHTV: A Steakhouse-style meal is not out of your reach- today Iā€™m making a pan-fried steak with a quick sauce that’s made right in the same pan. On the side, I’m serving up carrots agrodolce (carrots with a sweet and sour glaze) and cheesy scalloped potatoes.

I was watching Mad Hungry this morning, ( love the show!), saw Lucinda struggle with the box of foil, hint…. at the ends of the foil, or wax paper boxes, etc. there is an indent where you tuck the tabs in, consequently—-the rolls will not fall out during usage…… just saying!

I’ve tried for an hour to bring up the receipe for the Steak Potato Menu. Wanted the “whole” menu but just couldn’t get it anywhere. The Thurs. May 3rd show from 11 am. Would appreciate a copy, if possible. Thanks. That was Pan-fried steak with easy pan sauce, cheesy scalloped potatoees, carrots agrodoice and iceberg lettuce wedges. Thanks, Cathy

I have been watching Mad Hungry for the past month. I learned about it through my favorite cooking blog:

    http://www.cookingwithmrc.tumblr.com

If it wasn’t for Mad Hungry guest, John Contratti, and his super blog, I would have never discovered Lucinda and Mad Hungry. I’m so glad to be a new viewer.

    Lo,

What’s going on with “Mad Hungry”. An article in the magazine “Living” about Lucinda’s day, says “off to the studio to tape Mad Hungry”. Can you please inform viewers. Are new episodes being made or are they going to be made? Loyal followers would like to know.

Just wanted to express how much I love Mad Hungry and Lucinda! Found you about a month ago. I was watching Martha Stewart and Mag Hungry came on right after. I was hooked! I have to admit I have never cared for cooking shows before. Lucinda is real. A lovely lady with great recipes, ideas, tips and a sense of humor. I love the warmth in her kitchen and in her heart. Just ordered your book!

    Lo,

I was wondering the same thing Tracey (above) is asking. I get Martha’s magazine and I saw that page about the day in the life of Lucinda. Old article? Done a long time ago and they just printed it now? What’s the story? It’s May and all networks are announcing all of their daytime and evening programming. Sure they can run the reruns over and over, but will there be new episodes?? I know Lucinda filmed new episodes last summer, what about this summer?

Love your show I watch it all the time…however it is discouraging when your not able to bring up the reciepes. I know it’s not my computer….I’m able to get other reciepes from other cooking channels. Please make it easy for all of us who enjoy watching you and your sons cook able to get the reciepes.
Also where can I get your cookbooks so when I’m not able to watch you, i can just look it up in the book and cook and not worry about not being able to print the reciepe from your site that doesn;t work.
    Thank you
    AGAIN LOVE YOUR SHOW.

    Hi All,

We’re sorry that so many of you had issues getting the recipes. It was brought to our attention and we immediately contacted our web development team about it. It seems as though there was a MSLO server-wide issue (in which the MHTV recipes are also apart of). We’ve been notified that it’s been resolved and you should be able to get the recipes now.

In regards to the “Day in the life of LSQ” article and shooting more TV @Pauline @Tracey:
As you can imagine, magazine stories are developed and shot far in advance. We actually shot this story at the end of last summer when we were taping MHTV. The story was bumped from the magazine lineups once or twice for scheduling reasons, leaving it to run in May 2012. We are not currently shooting any Mad Hungry but are in the midst of developing new shows. When we have more information and are back up and taping again, we will absolutely pass it onto our fans here on the MH blog. This article was not supposed to make our fans feel as though we were hiding anything, we promise, you’ll know first!!

    Best,
    Lo

As a big fan of teacher cook, John Contratti,I hope Mad Hungry has him on one of the shows they are developing for new episodes. This gentleman has brought many viewers to this program and undouubtedly received the most feedback from any other guest. Please don’t disappoint us viewers if the show is making new epsiodes and this gentleman is not a part of it. From my readings, many people didn’t even know about Mad Hungry until a repeat episode was shown with him, and they read about it on his blog.

I love watching the shows several times. There is always something I miss, or more importantly, forget. I had a steak out for dinner and resigned myself for same old, same old. Then I watched my Mad Hungry show as usual! Yes, I have the cookbooks, yes I have seen this episode before, yes I have sometimers lol The steak and potatoes were so excellent! I got raves even from my “gotta grill steaks” hubby. I made yellow squash because I didn’t have carrots, but I am certainly going to try that recipe too. I haven’t found the right carrot recipe that will make my hubby enjoy them lol As an aside: LSQ I love how you talk while you cook; I love the little aaaccchhh, or something like that, sounds you make when the dish is done lol; I love when you cook with your sons (your mom too!) I can’t thank you enough for changing our lives with good food and will continue to tell you šŸ˜›
