hi Lucinda! I am totally new to your site, blog and MAD HUNGRY book, but I feel I am already a fan. And thanks for this goes to Susan B. Anderson whose knitting blog I follow faithfully. She recently posted about how much she loves your book and is currently doing a draw for a copy of it over on her site (I have my fingers crossed that I will be the winner, but if I'm not I will be buying myself a copy). After reading her post I was intrigued and wanted to find out more. So I linked to your site and watched the clip of you on the Martha Stewart show from back in October. This got me thinking about Susan again. I do not know if you are familiar with her work (apparently you both share the same publisher). And I started thinking about how she and her knit projects, from her books Itty Bitty Hats and Itty Bitty Toys would be perfect for a spot on Martha's show. Maybe since she is promoting your work purely out of admiration for the product, I thought you might like to check out what she does and see if it fits the bill for Martha… Sincerely, Christine M.

Hi Christine,Yes, yesterday I received a google alert about Susan's post. Needless to say, it just rocked my soul because it seems she so totally relates to the whole mad hungry vibe. I almost cried! And, I can't wait to connect with her because my quiet little hobby which I've had since I was a young girl is knitting but in the most basic, basic way (I make 10 hats-the same pattern in only stockinette stitch and all one color). But now I'm energized to hook into your community and evolve a little. As for the MARTHA show–I'll look into it right away. But, first I have to get our publisher to send ME Susan's book. Actually I should probably go buy it cause thats what every author needs to keep writing: book sales.Best LSQ
Elsa,Forgive my ignorance but what language is your post in????Or, is it some kind of computer translation situation. Thanks,LSQ
hi again, that is great! if you are a confident hat knitter then you will definitely want to check out Susan's Itty Bitty Hats. There are lots of easy, fun patterns in there. On the food topic, your pic of the breakfast your son ate before playing soccer made me laugh in recognition. I have 2 (teen/pre-teen) boys mad about hockey all winter and soccer/baseball all summer and they would both gladly polish off that breakfast! Christine M. (Canada)
