Recipes from Today’s Show: Portobello Mushroom Steaks

Published by

TODAY on MHTV @ 11:30 am ET: Thick, hearty mushrooms, like portobellos, are a great alternative to steak. Marinating them in olive oil and herbs keeps them tender and juicy while grilling, and taste great served With maple-thyme roasted carrots. For another simple side, I add goat cheese to polenta to make it extra creamy and flavorful. The best thing about the polenta is that it does double duty for another meal; leftovers can be chilled and cut into squares, then broiled. Once the squares are crispy and golden, top them with a grape tomato salad it makes an awesome lunch. More from the show.

Can’t find last weeks recipe for the cookie that was rolled into a ‘finger’ and then crossed over. I believe it had some liquor in it. There was a lady guest that day, Lucinda’s friend? I don’t make cookies but that one looked easy enough!
    Thanks, gladys
