Add bacon and syrup and you’re in sweet-and-savory heaven. Then, we crown the ultimate ham-and-cheese sandwich (aka, a croque madame) with a fried egg. Definitely plan to try every recipe on today’s show. Everything looked fabulous! Especially the Croque Madame, the soup, the escarole salad, and that winner chicken is a must try.
I have never made Croque Madame before, but I know my husband would love it since Gruyere is one of his favorite cheeses. And anything with a fried egg on top.
Not a food related question, but where can I find the top you were wearing for this episode? If I’m not mistaken you’ve worn that same style before but in another color. As a mom to two boys (and maybe a third on the way), I also spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I like to keep my style simple, but still have some, er, style. I love the tops you wear on your program as much as I love your recipes.
Thanks for putting together a great show. My boys now know it as “mommy’s favorite cooking show.” 🙂
I tried the Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner several months ago and it is great!!. I did cut way back on the salt as several reviewers mentioned. For those of you who have not tried this recipe as of yet, I suggest you cut the salt by at least one-half. If you need more salt, you can always add it at the table.
i put an egg on ordinary meals and they are instantly dee-lish- fried rice w/bacon, garlic, zucchini and peas. cheapo ramen. pasta with a little butter + parm. yum.
